Meet the Founder

With more than 20 years of experience in technology marketing, Melissa Lautzenhiser founded Marketing Matters to provide product marketing services to small tech companies.

Melissa has held numerous roles including her most recent role as Director of Supplier Marketing at Avnet Technology Solutions. In that role, she led a team of brand marketing managers to develop and execute strategic marketing plans designed to accelerate growth, expand market share and deliver measurable return on investment. Prior to Avnet she was Director of Marketing at Exact Software, responsible for the company’s branding and communications, public relations, partner marketing, events, and demand generation.

With experience launching several 1.0 products, she has held multiple roles in product marketing and spent several years in direct sales. She began her career in public relations working at one of the largest firms in the Midwest.
